Festival Directors
Rebecca Burditt and Tim Banach are founding members of the Finger Lakes Film Festival team, and collaborate on all aspects of the festival, including operations and programming.
Rebecca Burditt (right) has been an Associate Professor of Media and Society at Hobart and William Smith Colleges since 2014, where she is currently the chairperson of that department. She earned a Ph.D. from the University of Rochester and B.A. from Williams College and has authored several publications.
Tim Banach works for the Rochester/Finger Lakes Film Commission. He is also a Lecturer at SUNY Brockport, where his favorite course to teach is Film as Social Commentary.
Festival Development Advisor
Nora Brown held key roles in the High Falls Film Festival and was a founding board member of the Bentonville Film Festival. Nora also has decades of experience as a producer, and is the Rochester/Finger Lakes Film Commissioner.

The Finger Lakes Film Festival is far from a five person show, and it is important to recognize the contributions of Catherine Price, Lauren Bohrer, Susie Monaghan, Harold Copp, the Geneva BID, The Smith Center for the Arts, the Dove Block Project, and many other community members and institutions.
